I created this project so that it could help me put into practice skills that I had learnt about: Heroku, Django, Git, Bootstrap, REST, Python, ESP8266 wifi module, DHT11 temperature and humidity sensor, Arduino and SQLite.
In this project, temperature and humidity are measured using a DHT11 sensor which is connected to an esp8266 module. The esp8266 module sends the data to a django rest api which validates and stores the data in a SQLite database. A front end app in the django project then displays the data using two graphs: one for temperature and the other for humidity.
